3592 Turtle Data Storage and Transport Case

Overview
The 3592 Turtle is designed specifically for the IBM 3592 cartridge; this tape cartridge offers 300GB of native capacity with up to 900GB when used with 3.1 compression software. Like all Turtle cases, the 3592 case includes
* Special high-density polyethylene construction that is very durable but lightweight, delivering protection while saving the customer effort and money during transport.
* Molded dividers designed to “nest” the specific tape cartridge, in this case the 3592, and thus minimize movement during transport, protecting the customers’ valuable data.
* Double walls to absorb impacts and provide an air space that reduces thermal shock.
* Double latches and lockable delivering extra security.
In addition to these standard features, the 3592 Turtle case employs a special carbon resin which delivers additional static dissipation properties to protect customers’ data during transport and storage. The 3592 Turtle also has a unique phosphorus material in the handle of the case (“glow handle”), which allows the customer to locate the Turtle even in a “lights out” condition. These additional components make the 3592 Turtle case uniquely equipped to deliver maximum protection and value for the user.
