S.A.M.ฎ 4.0
Real-time barcode management solution that effectively recovers valuable floor space by eliminating empty slots... Reduce the overall size of the tape library by more than 30-40%
Through S.A.M.sฎ random filing system, empty slots created by tapes housed in robot or offsite storage facilities are eliminated. Additionally, S.A.M.ฎ tracks the date tapes were last requested by drives and runs a simple report that indicates which tapes have not been used for specific periods of time. These tapes are identified and can be moved to a less expensive storage area.
By using S.A.M.ฎ, the tape library will eventually be sectioned by activity levels -- keeping the most active tapes close to the tape drives -- allowing you to manage library space in a more efficient and cost-effect manner.
